jc albyn complex

The second version of jc albyn complex was made up of Adam, James and johnnie. They only played two gigs. The first was at Barfly Sheffield in October 2001 and the second was at the Grapes on 15th November 2001. As far as we know no pictures of the band were taken at either of these gigs.

setlist for the 15th november 2001 jcac gig

In the early days jc albyn complex followed the Third Rail tradition of deciding on the setlist just before going onstage and writing it on ripped beer mats. In the early years of jcac the lyrics and titles of songs were rarely finalised until after they were recorded which often meant that songs were known to the band by words that may or may not have had some relation to the sound or style of the song. The translation of the above setlist to jcac songs is...

  • Strange Movement = Strange Movements*
  • Hardcore/Quiet = Silent Extras**
  • New Noisy Song (stops) = Choking
  • Country One = Roads
  • Punk Song = Staring at the Ceiling
  • Nu Metal - Sequel
  • 16 Seconds - 16 Seconds an Hour***
  • Newest Song - Danny's Processing Again

* The Third Rail song "Peculiar Manueorve" was played and recorded by jcac as "Strange Movements."
** The two songs known by jcac as "the hardcore one" and "the quiet one" were always played together and were recorded as a single song called "silent Extras."
*** Third rail song played, but not recorded by jcac in the early days of jcac.
